Advisory service for grassland managers
We provide consultations to grassland managers on how to manage their grasslands in ways that enhance biodiversity. Consultations are based on the information provided by the land manager about previous management practices and the current condition of the grassland, as well as an assessment of available cartographic materials.
If necessary, a project habitat expert will carry out a field visit and prepare a grassland management plan, outlining recommendations on how to manage the grassland to improve its biodiversity over time.
How to apply for a consultation?
- Send a message to the advisory service at zane.lika@ldf.lv
- Indicate the cadastral number of the land parcel
- Provide a brief description of previous management practices
- Attach photographs of some of the plant species present, or a list of observed species
