With support from the GrassLIFE2 project, 105 ha of biologically valuable grasslands are being restored.
The following grassland restoration methods are applied on the farm:
- Regulation of grazing intensity and introduction of grazing
- Levelling (disking, milling, mulching)
- Removal of overgrowth and stump milling
- Reduction of accumulated dry biomass and moss layer
- Control of invasive species (mowing before flowering)
- Enhancement of species richness by spreading seed-rich hay and sowing seeds of natural grassland plants
- Cleaning of shallow ditches
